"Princess Leia - Boushh" Hand Swap by Customs for the Kid

If you are like us, and you really miss the removable thermal detonator from the 2006 Saga Collection Princess Leia Boushh figure well it only takes a quick hand swap to give the newer Black Series version of the character that cool touch to give her the look that you want.

We even added a silver chain to the new Black Series Chewbacca with improved articulation to update the prisoner version of the figure until we have time to redo the head sculpt so it includes the dog collar.  Stay tuned for the new headsculpt , because it will definitely be coming sometime soon. Until then enjoy the benefits of the swapped out parts to give your current figures that little extra something that makes your collection display that much better.

"ENDOR CAPTAIN REX aka NIK SANT" created by Darth Daddy

If someone asked me a few months ago, if I planned on making the Nik Sant action figure anytime soon, my answer most likely would have been, no.  Maybe at some point I would have gotten to it, but because of a comment Star Wars Rebels producer Dave Filoni made back in March of this year in which he stated that Captain Rex was the white bearded Endor Rebel soldier that we watched in Return of the Jedi, once affectionately referred to as Nik Sant by fans due to his resemblance to Saint Nick; suddenly, the desire to create this version of him in plastic shot right to the top of the list of things I wanted to get done!

Rex was one of the coolest characters to come out of The Clone Wars television series.  The idea that Rex lived to fight on Endor and had front row seats to the destruction of the second Death Star just warms the heart.

I actually bid on an action figure version of him on eBay right after the story dropped. The price went over a $100, and I gracefully bowed out knowing I could make a No-Paint-Kit-Bash replica that was exactly like the one in the auction for about $40.  Maybe even for less if I still had some of the parts I needed in my fodder.

To make this custom action figure, I used the hat and body of the 1st Release 2010 Star Wars Vintage Collection - Return Of The Jedi  Endor Rebel Soldier. The vest and backpack I grabbed off an extra 1st version of the Endor Rebel Soldier from the 2002 Star Wars Return Of The Jedi SAGA collection. Lastly, the head I popped off the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Templar Knight action figure.

All it took was a wardrobe change and headswap to make this great looking figure!

Super-Accessorized "Kylo Ren" created by Darth Daddy

Nothing too intensive needed to create this custom action figure.  In fact, you can probably make this figure in less than a minute.  All you need is the new Black Series Kylo Ren figure that is exclusive to Wal-mart and the head and plastic cloak from the Armor-Up Kylo Ren action figure. With a few seconds of drilling to expand the hole on the Armor-Up head, you can do the head swap needed to make this figure. The last head we added was from the Unmasked Kylo Ren action figure. I'm sure a lot of people will be doing this quick modification if they haven't already.  The cost for the parts can be a little pricey, but the results are too good to not give it a go!

We personally feel that the Armor-Up parts and unmasked Kylo Ren head that we used for this figure should have already been included with this particular Black Series action figure.  When one considers the steep price tag, $15.83 on this so-called "collector's series" action figure, it's easy to call poor form on Hasbro's part for not following proper etiquette when not including all the proper accessories for a figure. Even more so when the parts were already manufactured.  We never collected their 6" Black Series line for this very reason.  Hasbro is a company cutting corners where they shouldn't. Collectors are frustrated. Consumers who used to spend thousands of dollars a year are walking away in droves.

"MOSEP BINNEED - JABBA's PALACE" created by Darth Daddy

We were really happy when Hasbro released Mosep Binneed in his Cantina outfit.  Releasing that figure gave Star Wars customizers a body and head for Tawss Khaa, and parts to create Mosep in Return of the Jedi. With an extra head we could create Mosep as he appears in Jabba's Palace.  We used the body of a Vintage Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker also from Return of the Jedi and swapped out the forearms with the gloves of an AT-ST Pilot.  I grabbed the tag that fell of of Elias' athletic shorts to use for his shawl. This was just a really quick, no paint kit-bash figure to populate the Jabba diorama on Elias' shelf.  It took less than 5 minutes to make.

After I completed this figure, I saw a version created of this character that was created by Star Wars customizer, Jabbapalacespy that I liked even more than my own.  I may revisit this character at a later date and attempt to mimic what he did.

"I also travel under Jabba's name from time to time, representing his interests. It doesn't hurt to confuse the competition. So yes, for today's purposes − with our master's kind permission − you can say that I am Jabba."―Mosep Binneed [src]

Mosep Binneed was a Nimbanel accountant who served Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Like most of his species, Binneed entered a bureaucratic profession and worked for the Hutts, eventually ending up on Tatooine during the early Galactic Civil War. Operating out of Mos Eisley spaceport on Tatooine in the Outer Rim, Binneed managed the finances of crime lord Jabba the Hutt to the best of his efforts, along with a number of other accountants, many of whom were also Nimbanese. He was present in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in 0 BBY whenObi-Wan Kenobi attacked Ponda Baba with a lightsaber.

After the death of Binneed's superior, Lhojugg, Binneed took charge of Jabba's financial affairs and was based in the Hutt's town house. He had many informants and contacts in the organizations of Jabba's criminal rivals, and he used their information to disrupt the competitors' flow of funding. However, he knew that Jabba would have no hesitation to end his life if he failed in his tasks, and Binneed was constantly in fear of such a fate. He had many underlings, though some of them wished to work against Jabba, mismanaging his books and seeking to leave his employ.

STAR WARS REBELS: THE INQUISITOR LIGHTSABER MODIFICATIONS

We are in the process of making a super-articulated version of the Inquisitor here at home.  The villain of Star Wars Rebels has a really interesting lightsaber whose look provides several variations. We tried to recreate two alternate looks for his lightsaber to go with the lightsaber that was included with the original release of the figure.  We used an X-acto knife to create the half ignited saber, and we used a magnet to attach the hilt to the Inquisitor's back.  These are quick and easy modifications you can do at home in just a few short minutes.
