Star Wars Rebels "Sabine Wren" Collection from "Customs for the Kid"

These three figures of Sabine Wren are custom action figures of Sabine Wren from her multiple different appearances on "Star Wars Rebels".

The "Season One" version is super-articulated and was giver increased articulation by Darth Daddy. When it was first created, it had a modified head-sculpt by Darth Daddy that was later replaced with a repainted version of Hasbro's "Season Two" Sabine Wren head by Elias for consistency in the home display.

The action figure in the middle of the photo is just a repainted "Season Two" Sabine, to add more color into the head-sculpt and an improvement to the paint on the eyes that was painted by Elias.

The last action figure on the left was also done by Elias. The "Season Two" Sabine head that Hasbro made was re-sculpted to represent Sabine in her "Season 3" appearance and armor was added to the legs before being completely repainted and getting a newly sculpted backpack from a modified "Clone Wars" Commander Cody action figure that received an epic paint job and magnetic connections. The Darksaber came from a "Clone Wars" Pre Vizsla action figure.

SEASON 3 "SABINE WREN" Custom Action Figure created by ELIAS

This is definitely the most difficult paint job I think I have ever had to do. Between the wing pattern on the jetpack, and the convor on the shoulder pad, the extremely small details were quite the challenge. All the hard work only made me love the action figure more when I finally completed her. I chose not to add articulation to this figure, because in the end, I thought adding articulation might hurt the final product more than it would help it. The joints I had available were just too big to add to the skinny frame and would have ruined her silhouette.

I had to completely resculpt Sabine's hair and add armor to her shins. I also had to do some modifications to tailor fit Commander Cody's jetpack to my Sabine figure. I then utilized magnets to make the jetpack attach to her back so it had the option of being removable.

She came a long way from the Season 2 Sabine Wren action figure we received from Hasbro and I couldn't be happier with the results!

"SABINE WREN - IMPERIAL PROPAGANDA/ REBEL GRAFFITI" DIORAMA created by Darth Daddy

So, we never made a diorama before, but we figured there is no better time than the present.  We received some styrofoam sheets as packing material from some recently shipped Christmas gifts and with a little bit of plaster, toothpicks, paint and some duplicate stickers we got from some packs of Star Wars Rebels Topps trading cards, we made a fun diorama that we really love!

We used some glue to attach the styrofoam sheets and reinforced the connection by pushing toothpicks vertically into the wall from underneath the floor. When the glue set, we coated the walls and the floor with a thin coat of plaster.  After we painted what we had beige and did a light wash of brown, we then measured the diorama for the preferred sticker placement. Once the stickers were applied, we painted in the remaining graffiti onto the walls from where they were cut off from the sticker. To make the Rebel symbol match the symbols in the sticker carry onto the wall, we did a color photocopy of the original sticker and cut out the symbol we needed and then glued it into place to finish the piece.

We really like the design because by placing the wall in the center of the floor, you get two dioramas in one; almost a before and after display.

Customizer Spotlight # 42: "STAR WARS REBELS - SABINE's TIE FIGHTER" created by MirkoFx Studio aka Mirko Martinovic

When Star Wars fans wrapped up Season One of "Star Wars Rebels", viewers gazed at one ultra cool variation on a Tie Fighter via the artistic stylings of The Ghost crew member, Sabine Wren. Many fans hope that Hasbro releases a version of the vehicle from the "Fire Across the Galaxy" season finale, but as of now we're still waiting for an official announcement that it will happen.  Mirko Martinovic's painted Tie Fighter was probably the best exclusive giveaway at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, because it is one of the only manifestations we have seen of Sabine's Tie Fighter so far. One lucky raffle winner walked away with the prize on the last day of the convention.

When the convention was over, a fan commissioned Mirko to recreate his convention exclusive. The custom took him 3 whole weeks to complete. A true labor of love! Lucky for us, the person backed out the deal at the last minute.

Mirko was getting ready to list this masterpiece up on eBay when Dad sent him an offer.  I turned 12 yesterday, and I was in complete shock when I came home and saw this beauty hanging from my ceiling with all my other Rebel ships!
