MAKING "ZIRO THE HUTT" TUTORIAL with DARTH DADDY of "CUSTOMS FOR THE KID"

Darth Daddy of "Customs for the Kid" was commissioned by Jimmy Mac of Rebel Force Radio to create a Clone Wars "Ziro the Hutt" action figure. Darth Daddy created this short step-by-step tutorial of the "Ziro the Hutt" build to assist you in making your own version of the character.

We tried to keep the video short to make it more digestible, but if you have any questions, just put them in the comments section and we'll do our best to answer them.

"So many times, people come to my house and they look at my collection and they say, "What's your favorite thing in here?' I'm never really sure what to answer that question with.  Now...I have a solid go to answer every time.  Ziro arrived today and he is magnificent.  Such amazing work.  Hasbro could not do any better. It's great and I love it.  I'm going to make a big deal about it on RFR so I hope you don't mind." - Jimmy Mac

"ZIRO THE HUTT" GETS AN UPDATE

This past weekend, Darth Daddy made a few adjustments to his Ziro the Hutt custom action figure.  First, he made Ziro's headdress attach magnetically.  He also did some minor sanding to enhance the appearance of his sculpt.  To finish the figure off, Darth Daddy repainted Ziro's tattoos with phosphorescent paint so that they glowed under the blacklight like they did in the theatrical release of the movie.

A LONG OVERDUE POST: CUSTOMIZER SPOTLIGHT: WRAITHNINE UPDATED

So you're all in for a real astromech treat.  We've been wanting to do this post for over a month now, but it never got put together until now.  The good news is we have a lot of these long overdue treats coming down the assembly line.

These next two droids were both created by Star Wars action figure customizer Wraithnine.  When Dad heard that Wraithnine was selling the R2-C2 that he created, Dad thought it would be cool if we gave him a home next to the Ziro the Hutt that Dad created.  Dad bought him right away as a birthday present for me back in October.

What's even cooler was that Wraithnine sent me a R2-T8 astromech as a birthday gift from him.  Thanks so much Jay! That was very generous of you.  The droid is a shining example of why you are the astromech GOD! I love seeing Ziro and R2-C2 next to each other.  Your droids make my room more magical.

ZAO, ZIRO & DULLCOTE

We just wanted to show everybody what a big difference a few sprays of Dullcote can make to a figure if it looks very glossy.  First check out the "before" shots of Zao and Ziro and then you'll see what we're talking about when you get to the "after" shots.  The only changes to the figure was the application of the spray.
