THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT "KRRSANTAN" created by Elias

Krrsantan, also known as Black Krrsantan, and nicknamed "Santy," "BK," and "Black K" by Doctor Aphra and "Santo" by Garsa Fwip and Boba Fett, was a male Wookiee bounty hunter whose career spanned from during the rule of the Galactic Empire into the era of the New Republic. Originally escaping his homeworld Kashyyyk and trained by the infamous Xonti Brothers as a gladiator, Krrsantan later became a ferocious bounty hunter. He was regularly hired by the crime lord Jabba the Hutt and at one point fought Obi-Wan Kenobi, receiving a scar from the Jedi Master's lightsaber. During the Galactic Civil War, Darth Vader hired Krrsantan to track down and capture an agent of the Emperor.

Following the death of Jabba and the end of the war, Krrsantan was employed by that late Hutt's cousins, brother and sister crime lords known as the Twins. Their cousin's criminal empire had been taken over by the former bounty hunter Boba Fett, and the Hutts sought Krrsantan's services in wresting control away from the self-appointed Daimyo. Krrsantan attempted to assassinate Fett, but was captured by his forces. Shortly after, the Twins promised to leave Tatooine, and Krrsantan was eventually employed by Boba Fett. As part of Fett's forces, he participated in a battle against the Pyke Syndicate, which resulted in the Fett gotra's victory.

All it took to create this action figure was the body of a 3.75" scale Black Series Merumeru action figure, a headsculpt and armor kit designed by SKYLU3D, and blaster rifle sold by Outer Rim Traders. First I cleaned out the joints on the Merumeru to eliminate paint rub, then I based the figure out in black and dry brushed in some highlights. After I primed the accessories in brown paint and dry brushed in the gold, and followed that up with a wash. Once the accessories were fully painted and weathered, I called the Krrsantan action figure complete!

Highly recommend picking up these parts from Outer Rim Traders if you are an impatient for a release from Hasbro!

Yakface.com's Secret Santa 2015

Every year we participate in Yakface.com's Secret Santa event.  This year was no different.  We saw our package was delivered on Christmas Eve so we figured we'd post what we sent as our gift. This year Star Wars customizer JediStyle was the recipient of this year's custom action figure from Customs for the Kid. Two years ago, we did a figure swap with JediStyle for the holiday outside of Yakface.com. so when we found out he was who we were assigned to, we tried to create a companion figure for the first one we sent him.

Since the last figure we created for JediStyle had a Steampunk feel, we tried to add a little of that flavor here as well.  We decided on a fan fiction figure because we know this artist has created a plethora of his own Star Wars fan fiction figures over the years. We also wanted to maintain the desert vibe from the last figure so the new gift would look good posed with the older one. We really wanted to create a diorama stand that would have housed both figures, but the album cover for High Adventure's "High Five" release cut too deep into the time we had to devote to this project.

When making this figure we imagined him to be an individual on the run. Hiding on the fringes of the desert, behind a mask, rounding up criminals trying to disappear on the fringes of civilization. This was the first time we attempted doing wig work for an action figure.  Adding in the thread was also daring to venture outside our normal process.

We included some pictures below of the previous Secret Santa action figure from 2 years ago that we mailed to JediStyle.

CUSTOMIZER SPOTLIGHT UPDATE: PeakOB1

So Wednesday was my birthday.  I didn't get to celebrate it with my dad until last night, but the delay was worth the wait.  Keeping with a birthday tradition, Dad bought me some beautiful custom action figures that were created by the super talented Star Wars customizer PeakOB1.  I'm a huge fan of this customizer, with almost 40 action figures by the artist featured in my collection.  Most of the custom figures that I own from him are from The Clone Wars and my latest additions are awesome out of this world!  I was blown away when I opened my present and found two of my favorite female characters from the show.  These will be great additions to our Customs for the Fangirls page!

The first action figure I pulled out of the box was an Assaj Ventess in her Bounty Hunter outfit.  The paint application is just gorgeous.  The pin-striping is so precise and well applied. Her helmet was made to be removable and she even came with an articulated Tooka!

The second figure I pulled out of the package was a Duchess Satine Kryze, an action figure that I think just about every Clone Wars fan had hoped Hasbro would have released.  Now Obi-Wan doesn't have to be so lonely.  Because she is in her adventure gear, her and Padme can tackle the perils of Mandalore.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE FIGURES!
