CUSTOMS FOR THE KID: THE 2012 RECAP

One of our favorite things to do at the end of the year is to look over all the figures that we created as things come to a close.  This year was unique, because we even created two vehicles on top of all the action figures we made.  Dad said he was really shocked when he realized that we made over 70 action figures in 2012.  He hadn't realized that we created so many.  Dad even fit in time for a collaboration project with customizer Peakob1 producing some of Hondo Ohnaka's pirate gang.

While we created some really easy figures to inspire beginning customizers to take a crack at the hobby, we also made a few completely original sculpted figures.  We were really happy with the way 2012 went and we hope the action figures we create in 2013 are as much fun to make as the figures were from this year.  Hope you enjoy the video of our 2012 creations.  All made with the teamwork of a nine year old boy and his father.  Every one of them made in just a day or two out of 26 weekends from this year.

You may need to raise the bar around the office Hasbro and think bigger.  If the two of us can do this at our kitchen table with so little time, think what could be done with all the resources you have at your disposal.

"NIGHTSISTER ASSASSIN" created by Elias

I couldn't let Dad have all the "Nightsister" fun. I wanted to take a crack at it too, so I grabbed the head of a Jedi Leia, a CW Nightsister torso and arms, and the legs of that super expensive Clone Wars Ahsoka Tano that goes for about a $100.00 on ebay.  I took feathers that Dad cut off of another Nightsister figure he had turned into a Mother Talzin, and glued the feathers to the belt of the CW Ahsoka.  The swords I got from some G.I. Joe fodder.

She's definitely my favorite custom that I've done.
