"THE CLONE WARS - BOUNTY" BOBA FETT created by "Customs for the Kid"

Before Boba Fett wore his signature Mandalorian armor, he had a much different look. This is what Boba sported back when he headed up Krayt's Claw, a Tatooine-based syndicate of bounty hunters led by the adolescent bounty hunter.

During the Clone Wars, Bossk, Latts Razzi, and Oked were present at a cantina in Mos Eisley. Oked approached Asajj Ventress and began to flirt with her, which ultimately led to his death. After witnessing their partner die, Razzi and Bossk blackmailed Ventress into joining their team. The two bounty hunters took Ventress to meet their leader, Boba Fett. Fett's team were hired by Major Rigosso to protect a chest of unknown contents on a subtram to Belugan leader Otua Blank.

While delivering the chest, the group spread out as they prepared for trouble. Razzi partnered C-21 Highsinger, while Dengar joined Ventress and Bossk went with Fett. The attackers soon came in the form of Kage Warriors. The group fended off many Kage Warriors by matching their skill in martial arts, but Razzi, Highsinger, Dengar, and Bossk were ultimately defeated by the Kage leader Krismo Sodi from the Kage Warriors. This left Ventress and Fett to fend off the forces alone. During the struggle against the raiders, Boba inadvertently knocked the chest over, revealing its contents: a young woman named Pluma Sodi, who had been kidnapped so she could be married to Otua Blank against her will. The leader of the raiders, Krismo Sodi, was her brother, who had been trying to save his sister. Ventress and Boba, who managed to remain on the tram, argued about the situation after Pluma pleaded with the former Sith apprentice, who felt sympathy for the girl; Ventress had also been forcibly taken from her home. Boba, on the other hand, intended to continue with the operation. Ventress used the Force to choke Boba, preventing him from fulfilling the mission. After the mission was over, Ventress parted ways with the group.

To make this version of of the iconic bounty hunter, we modified the arms and torso of TCW Boba Fett action figure with Green Stuff. The feet were borrowed from a Legacy Collection Pax Bonkik action figure. We used a head that we purchased from Watto's Scrapyard as well as a helmet we purchased from Outer Rim Traders that was designed by Jeff Thompson. I painted Boba's head and body. When it started getting late and I had to get to bed, Dad painted the helmet for me so I could get a good night's rest before school the next day.

The best part about this custom is that it isn't a commission and I get to add this one to my own collection. Dad had this parted out for almost a decade so it was nice to finally get him done.

"RETURN OF THE JEDI" ROCK WART & ATTARK painted by Darth Daddy & Elias of "Customs for the Kid"

For over a decade we have been wanting to flesh out Jabba's Palace some more by adding some of the more obscure creatures and characters to our home display. For today's post we thought we would share two of our latest additions to our collection. We picked up both from online sellers. Attark we purchased from Outer Rim Traders. The Rock Wart we are still trying to recall where we purchased it from. If anyone recognizes the sculpt, please let us know so we can give the artist credit for their work.

I painted the Rock Wart and Dad painted Attark. Both look really good with our recently completed Loje Nella and Sic-Six.

THE VINTAGE COLLECTION PONDA BABA - ALTERNATE HEAD painted by Elias of "Customs for the Kid"

For a few years now, collectors have been asking for a new Ponda Baba head to replace the original sculpt. Many fans had complained that the head was undersized and a bit narrow for the character. Thankfully for customizers Outer Rim Traders is currently offering a beautiful Ponda Baba headsculpt created by customizer Jeff Thompson

We placed an order and as soon as it arrived, I painted it up and took a few photos of the action figure with the new head. I really love the look of the new head. He looks great in our new Cantina!

"YOUNG JEDI ADVENTURES" PORD painted by "Customs for the Kid"

This was a sculpt created by Uzay Customs. Our client sent us the 3D design file so all we had to do was print it at home at paint it.

We are huge fans of "Young Jedi Adventures" here at home. Dad said parents of younglings should add this show to their childrens viewing line up. "Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures" follows a group of younglings (kids) training to become Jedi during the High Republic era, centuries before the main films, learning core values like compassion, teamwork, and patience while exploring the galaxy, helping creatures, and thwarting minor villains like pirates. The show, aimed at preschoolers, takes place at a Jedi temple on the planet Tenoo, with Master Yoda guiding the young heroes like Kai, Lys, and Nubs as they develop their Force abilities and build friendships.

As a child, Pord was a member of a gang of pirates led by Taborr Val Dorn. Alongside him and the droid EB-3, she repeatedly raided Hap's Sap Tap, a café on the forest planet Tenoo. During one of these raids, Pord and the other pirates were confronted by Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay and Nubs. Val Dorn told Pord and EB-3 to take the cart with their loot to their starship, but they were defeated by the Jedi. Val Dorn caused a distraction, allowing Pord and EB-3 to get away, but the Jedi managed to retrieve the stolen goods with the help of Nash Durango and other residents, causing the pirates to leave empty-handed.

"CUSTOMS FOR THE KID" 2025 - YEAR IN REVIEW

With me studying for my Industrial Design degree at UCONN and Dad working overtime every week, the time needed to make custom action figures has been in short supply. Usually, I have my commissions to fall back on for posts, but a good portion of my year was spent making action figures for "Josie and the Pussycats" and "Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space" toy lines. Not ideal content for a Star Wars custom action figure blog. Therefore, original fully sculpted figures that we made here at home were in shorter supply than in previous years.

To overcome the deficit, our customs this year were focused a lot more on a continued tradition at the blog...showcasing third-party custom offerings available for sale from other artists in the community that our readers can use to flesh out their own 3.75" Star Wars action figure collections.

We still made a handful of figures from scratch like our Captain Bombardier, Duchess Zilla, as well as a few variations of Assaj Ventress, but the rest of what we shared was what can be done with offerings from our friends who sell their custom creations. These figures were the product of some home assembly and adding our own detailed paint applications.

Life got busy this year, but our passion has not decreased, and we will continue to develop new exciting art projects to share when we are able.

We would like to give a big thanks to the HalcAnon Podcast for having me on earlier this year to discuss one of my other artistic exploits...special fx make-up applications. It offers a great introduction to some techniques that can be adopted by those who like to cosplay.

We would like to thank the Bespin Refugee at Jedi Insider for the "Custom of the Week" features this year. It was cool to see some of our original work as well as some collaborative efforts get featured.

It was a real honor to have Chris Bartlett the actor who played Q-90 share the action figure we made on his Instagram story this year!

Enjoy the video below of this year's creations.
