"STAR WARS REBELS" RUKH painted by Darth Daddy

Rukh was a male Noghri from Honoghr who served as the bodyguard and assassin of Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn used Rukh's name as the override command for his sparring droids. Rukh was an excellent tracker and fighter with a strong senses of smell. In 1 BBY, Thrawn employed Rukh's services in hunting down members of the Spectres Rebel cell and the Lothal resistance group. Rukh played an important role in capturing the Spectres leader and Rebel Alliance General Hera Syndulla during the failed attack on Lothal. Rukh would later see further action against the Spectres in the lead up to the Liberation of Lothal. Rukh perished at the hands of Garazeb Orrelios, who electrocuted him while fighting inside the Imperial Complex.

This 5poa action figure was created from a 3D print file created by Uzay Customs. It has swivel shoulders, hips, and neck. As subscribers to his Patreon this was only one of countless files we can print from on a monthly basis using his service. Rukh was one of the more interesting villains from the animated series. When we saw that a file was available we knew we wanted to add the assassin to our Rebels collection.

Darth Daddy hasn't worked on a custom action figure since he worked on the Kanan Jarrus action figure we did last year. Dad has been fond of adding to my "Star Wars Rebels" collection as of late. Dad has over ten characters from the show ready for paint thanks to the Etsy storefront of Angry Raccoon Miniatures

At some point in the future we are looking to paint up Tristan Wren, Cham Syndulla, Numa, Ketsu Onyo, Ryder Azadi, Jun Sato, Iron Squadron, Super Commandos, Lando's droid, Kalani, Magistrate Maketh Tua, the 8th Brother, and hopfully a Season 3-4 Ezra Bridger to add to our own collection.

AHSOKA TANO "AHSOKA" TV SERIES ACTION FIGURE created by Elias

To create this version of Ahsoka, I had to modify the TVC Ahsoka head from "The Mandalorian". I also had to modify the gauntlets to make her screen accurate because her gauntlets change between her appearances with Din Djarin and her outfit in her own series.

For the head, I sculpted a new tiara and then accentuated her montrals and lekku to bring them up to date with the new design. I then sanded off the old gauntlets and then sculpted out the updated look.

I really enjoyed painting in all the missing details from the clothing sculpt that Hasbro did.

"THE CLONE WARS" ADMIRAL TRENCH by Elias of "Customs for the Kid"

Happy Star Wars Day!

To celebrate the day we thought we would share our latest custom commission.  This Admiral Trench action figure was 100% sculpted and painted by hand.

To begin the build, I used an AOTC Orn Free Taa action figure for my base figure, and then completely rebuilt the torso to accommodate three arms on each side of the body. The arms I borrowed from several Clone Wars Phase I Clone Troopers that I sanded the armor off of so I could utilize their joints and appendages for Trench.

Once I had a rough skeleton built out, I got to sculpting out all the necessary forms and later on, all the fine details with the help of some ProCreate. I made the head using a cast of my previous Trench’s head, and resculpting his left side with the same sculpting putty.

I recarved the feet with a hot knife and then made molds and several casts of the  hands from the K'Kruhk action figure from the Build A Droid line to create the figure at a faster pace.

His accessory was designed on my laptop and then printed out on our 3D printer.

Once I felt like I achieved Trench's likeness, I set to painting the intricate patterning on his robe and tackled the challenge of continuing the pattern around to the back of the figure. This proved quite difficult because there is no reference of him from that angle. I did my best with the partial shots I was able to locate and inferred how these patterns would continue outside of the frame. Once I felt I acheived a satisfying conclusion to my efforts, I set to replicating the Trench symbol and Trade Federation insignia on the shoulders to complete the figure.

I am really happy with both the sculpt and the paintwork on this particular piece. He turned out even better than I had originally envisioned. This is just one of several pieces I will be making for this client.

We even got a second crack at making the Cyborg Trench pictured below. I sculpted the torso differently on our second version to make him a bit more hunched which allowed me to show off his cyborg neck collar some more. I was really happy with the results.

The last item was a finished head for a Clone Wars Old Daka. I have to find the photo of her finished head. So far I only found a photo I sent my dad on Instagram before I added the seeing thread to my sculpt. I remember my Dad asking me to take a photo of the finished Old Daka head before I shipped it, so I know when exists somewhere. I will post it here when I find it.

May the fourth be with you!
