Marrok was an Anooba owned by the bounty hunter Embo. Marrok was featured prominently in the Clone Wars episodes "Bounty", "Revenge", as well as in the new Clovis arc just released in Season 6 of the Clone Wars on Netflix. Marrok would have been an awesome addition to the Clone Wars toy line if he was included as a pack in with a recarding of Embo. Unfortunately, this will never be now that Hasbro's best selling Clone Wars action figure line is no more.
Dad really wanted to add this cool Star Wars creature to my collection since he took part in a lot of the action filled scenes that Embo starred in. Dad always had an interest in creating some of the creatures of Star Wars and always wanted to make the jump from Star Wars characters to their less sentient companions.
To create this figure Dad used the womp rat from the Lars' Homestead set that was created by Hasbro as a base for his figure. First Dad used a Dremel to thin out the womp rat's tail and then used Green Stuff (kneadatite) to sculpt on the face and tail. Once the face was sculpted, Dad decided that he wasn't completely happy with the proportions of the body. As a fix, Dad cut off the head that he just sculpted, and used a clear styrene rod and more Green Stuff to extend the neck. He then primed the entire sculpt with grey paint and dry brushed in the white highlights to complete the figure.
Bring back the Clone Wars!
