BITH ENDOR REBEL SOLDIER created by Darth Daddy

After Dad finished making me an Ithorian Rebel Soldier, Dad wanted to create a few more alien Endor Rebel soldiers. Dad saw a cool dark skinned Bith action figure created a few years ago by Von Reinhardt Customs.  Ever since Dad saw the figure, he wanted to do a variation on the theme.  When Dad went to create a new Endor Rebel soldier, he felt the time had come to make one.  To make this figure, Dad used a Bith head cast that was created by Sithhappens, and placed it on a G.I. Joe Renegades Ripcord action figure.  Then Dad just repainted the figure.

I really like what Dad has been making lately and I can't wait to see what he does next.

My Secret Santa Delivered. My Secret Santa Received

Got a call this morning from SithHappens and he received his Imperial Shipyards Secret Santa custom action figure package in the mail yesterday.  He said he was very pleased with what I sent.

Dr. Saile Whitenail is a brilliant medical doctor and surgeon, but as talented as he was as a physician, he was even more well known for being a frequent patron of the local cantina.  He had a problem with mistaken identity, some well funded thugs are chasing him, and he has been on the road ever since.

Here is the Mandalorian I received from L.E. Spry aka Luke Spywalker as my Imperial Shipyards Secret Santa gift featuring a new bucket mash up, custom rifle so he can shoulder it, a soft goods strap, removable armor, greeblied out kama and fully weathered as if he lives for a good sand storm. Spywalker also made me a small dio/stand combo in his wonderful trash to treasure style.   A really incredibly cool Secret Santa gift.  When it comes to custom action figures, they don't get any better than this.  Believe me, I've seen  a lot of customs.

Stat tuned for an upcoming post about Dad's Secret Santa experieces.

The head is a mash-up of the newest TFU trooper helmet that was cast by Clonehead and a Jango Fett faceplate from SithHappens.

ON THE WORKBENCH: SECRET SANTAS

He everyone.  So we haven't done a post in a while that features custom action figures created here in the home.  We are working on some though.  October tends to be a busy month around the house so life overwhelmed us more than usual and we fell behind on our posts.  Anyway, here is what we have got going right now.  This weekend we got started on our Secret Santa figures that we will be giving away once they are completed to the recipients we received by email from both Yakface.com and Imperialshipyards.net.  So here is what we have going so far.  Dad is building two zombie alien figures for the Yakface Secret Santa and a Twi'lek he is working on for the Imperial Shipyards Secret Santa.  I'm working on an alien for the Imperial Shipyards Secret Santa too.  The Imperial Shipyard Secret Santa figures are still in the build stage and aren't even finished being kitbashed yet.  Dad has to start his sculpting work on his zombies still, but he is off to a good start with the build and with creating his paint scheme that he is going to use.  Take a look at what we have started and we hope to have at least one finished figure for you next week and possibly one more "new" figure added that will also be part of the Secret Santa giveaway.

Custom figures we are currently working on for our Secret Santa recipients.

Dad just has to do some sculpting around the mouth to finish this figure.  This will probably be the first completed figure since he has so much done already.

Vurk Zombie (WIP)

Dad finished all the conceptual work on this one, but he has to do sculpting work on the face and arms before he can go and finish the paint job.

Cantina Alien

All I need to do is paint this guy to wrap him up.

Twi'lek (WIP)
by Darth Daddy

This guy needs lots of sculpt work and the entire paint job before he can be labeled as finished.  Dad hasn't even completed kitbashing him yet.  This figure is the one that is furthest from being wrapped up.

Head Casts by sithhappens

Dad is always wishing he had extra alien heads for creating new action figures, but doesn't want to pay the price of an entire figure to get it.  When Dad found out Star Wars customizer sithhappens started to sell head casts of some of the figures he wanted most, he went straight to his ebay page to place an order.  When he received his order in the mail, Dad was really impressed with the high quality casts that he received and placed a second order right away.  Any customizers who are looking for some hard to find heads at a reduced cost, look no further.  These heads are awesome!
