Star Wars Rebels "Governor Arihnda Pryce" created by Customs for the Kid

This was an action figure of one of the newest villains featured on the Star Wars Rebels animated TV series. She was created using the upper torso of the Force Unleashed Juno Eclipse action figure, the arms from a Clone Wars Admiral Yularen,  the legs of an Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Irina Spalko action figure and a 3d printed headcast created by Watto's Scrapyard.

Dad parted her out and did the engineering. After he painted the majority of the figure. I only had to paint the arms and face.

Once we saw her square off against Sabine in the episode Antilles Extraction, we knew we wanted to add her to the Rebels collection.

Arihnda Pryce was a female human who served as governor of the Lothal sector fourteen years after the rise of the Galactic Empire. She was, at times, absent from Lothal, and Minister Maketh Tua would directly govern in her absence.

CLONE WARS "DARTH SIDIOUS" created by Darth Daddy

This is a custom Clone Wars action figure that was inspired by TheRealMarch4th.  A few months ago I sent him a Clone Wars headcast of Palpatine that I produced and we were really floored by how he decided to use it.  He took the Darth Sidious from the Yoda 2-pack, replaced the face of the figure  with my headcast and then sculpted the hood down over the eyes.  He then took a soft goods skirt to cover those ugly Hasbro legs to finish the figure.  What an awesome idea!

On my custom figure I took what TheRealMarch4th did one step further. I borrowed elements from his recipe, and just added more articulation to the figure.  I cut everything off below his black frock (the legs and forearms) and added in articulated replacement parts. I borrowed the legs and upper torso from a Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi that I bought in bulk on eBay, and swiped the forearms and brown skirt of the Vintage Darth Sidious figure for my new incarnation of Sidious. By adding these new elements, the figure now would sport ball jointed elbows, swivel wrists, a swivel waist, swivel hips, and ball jointed knees. Before completely assembling the figure, I dyed the skirt from the Vintage figure and used some black soft goods from a Darth Maul figure to create the two layers of fabric in his skirt. Yesterday, I told TheRealMarch4th about the improvements that I made to my Sidious, and he liked them so much he made the same adjustments to his own figure after we spoke.

Any Star Wars fan who watched The Clone Wars episode "Lawless" knows that this version of Darth Sidious needed to be made!

"MELAS - CFTK Version #2" created by Darth Daddy

We really hate doing this, but in this next post, we will be revisiting a character that we created once before at Customs for the Kid.  We personally don't like making more than one version of the same character, unless it's when the character appears in a different outfit, or the figure specifically references another point in the character's timeline in their fictional journey spanning all available Star Wars content. Originally Elias made an action figure of this Cantina denizen, but sold his version to someone after he found a photo of Melas that showed the character wore a skirt below the waist and not pants.

Our second version of Melas is what we have on our collection shelves today and we feel it is a bit more screen accurate than what we previously made. This time instead of using the 2001 Power of the Jedi Ketwol action figure for the base figure of Melas like Elias had, I used only Ketwol's cape and head.  On top of that, I substituted the body in my recipe for a 2010 Darth Sidious (Palpatine) (REVENGE OF THE SITH) VOTC #12 action figure. I sculpted the upper torso, as well as a hat onto the back of Ketwol's head. The hookah I assembled from an assortment of random fodder that I had laying around.  The skirt I used was also from unidentified fodder.

I personally like the paint job on Elias' original figure much more than my own. I may have to spend an extra hour or two on this paint job one day down the line in an attempt to try to equal what Elias did on his Melas' head.

"Melas was a Sarkan exile who traveled from planet to planet. Unlike most Sarkans, he was short, with bright blue eyes and short claws.

Melas' exile was not due to his appearance—rather, it was due to his gregarious nature. Melas enjoyed the company of Humans and other non-Sarkans, and often ignored the complexities of Sarkan rituals when socializing with them. He was forced to leave Sarka because he violated the strict laws of Sarkan protocol on numerous occasions.

Melas greatly missed the natural beauty of his homeworld, but exile was not an insurmountable hardship. He managed to smuggle a fortune in precious metals and gems off Sarka before his exile. Melas traveled across the galaxy, sightseeing and meeting as many different alien species as possible. Naturally, he found himself in Chalmun's Cantina when he visited Tatooine. He was present in the Cantina on the fateful day Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker hired Han Solo.

Melas became fond of smoking an Esoomiangruu pipe during his exile, and was rarely seen without it."

"Ownellco" created by Darth Daddy

Ownellco was a male Lutrillian who lived during the Galactic Civil War. In 0 BBY, he was standing near the bar in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, chatting with the Qiraash female Leesub Sirln, on the day that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker chartered Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon for passage to Alderaan.

The head I used was a heavily modified cast that was originally created by I-AM-BOBA-FETT of Riff Valley Designs.  The Lutrillian head cast I used for my Ownellco was of the character of Solomahal as he appeared in the Star Wars Holiday Special.  The version of the character that I wanted to make was the second Lutrillian that had appeared in the cantina of Star Wars: A New Hope named Ownellco. While not a perfect match for the character I was making, the head was different enough than the head I used for "Atheloe aka The Colonel" earlier this month.  I just had to Dremel off the scarf that was part of the cast and sculpt in the bottom of his face.

The jacket was handcrafted, and the body of the figure was a 100% sculpted.  I used the Rancor Keeper body as my base figure, sanded it down and sculpted onto what remained.  I stained and modified the jacket from a Black Series Endor Han Solo. First I cut the jacket shorter, and then I created pockets from the scraps left behind.  I tried to keep the stitching wherever I could to give it a more finished look.

"TZIZVVT" created by Darth Daddy

Tzizvvt was a male Brizzit who hailed from Jandoon. Claiming to be a professor of xenoarchaeology searching for a treasure known as "The Eye of the Beyonder", he was believed to be a fugitive from the Empire named Ilna. Setting up residence inTatooine's sewers, Tzizvvt soon became a figure of derision on the planet, dismissed as a "crazy old storyteller." He had in fact collected some treasures, which he kept in his sewer-bound residence, but kept them secret from the proletarians.

The Lutrillian war veteran Solomahal was one of the few who paid attention to Tzizvvt's stories told in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, and although he was not utterly convinced of the Brizzit's honesty, he was interested enough to inquire further. Impressed by Tzizvvt's collection, he agreed to help him search for his elusive treasure, even without up-front payment by the Brizzit.

This is a 100% sculpted action figure made with ProCreate. I used the Vintage Bespin Luke Skywalker as a base, sanded it down and sculpted on top of it. The hands are from the Vintage Ponda Baba action figure. The head was from a POTF2 4-LOM that I completely sculpted over. I actually grabbed a pair of scissors and used my own hair to create this action figure. I guess that means this creation of mine can be used as a voodoo doll.
