Well, I'm still working on filling in my Chalmun's Cantina diorama with the characters from A New Hope that were never produced as action figures. My latest addition is a Cantina Spacer that can be found in the original movie in the background as the camera pans across the room. Since Hasbro has already produced all the parts needed to make the figure, it is one of the easiest ones to produce. Dad took the Legacy Bossk action figure, removed the head and replaced it with a Bo Shek helmet, and then replaced the forearms and legs below the knees and glued on the gloves and boots of a POTF Death Star Gunner to complete this figure.

Recently Dad set up a deviantART page to help promote my blog.  While setting up the page, Dad found the art of JVCustoms on the site.

JVCustoms is a professional figure customizer of 3 ¾ inch through 1/6 scale figures, as well as, vehicles from miniatures to 3 ¾ inch figure scale. He also dabbles in traditional drawing and digital art.

His tools of the trade include Vallejo Artist Acrylics & Varnishes, X-Acto Knives, Custom-Made Tools, Sandpaper (120 thru 400 Grit), Nail Files, Detail Paintbrushes, and more for Custom Figures. Pencils, Inks and Charcoal for Drawing and Photoshop for Digital Art.

JVCustoms is not currently accepting new commissions but he sells from his own collection often and will entertain offers for many of his already-completed customs. He also sells his customs on eBay.

CUSTOMIZER SPOTLIGHT UPDATE: I-AM-BOBA-FETT

We recently acquired a really cool custom action figure from Star Wars customizer I-AM-BOBA-FETT.  It's our second action figure from this artist.  Our first figure from him was a Selkath Jedi that can be seen on our Customizer Spotlight archive page.

I-AM-BOBA-FETT has been making custom figures, ships, accessories, you name it, for over 20 years. The latest addition to my collection from this artist is a Bunny Bot that was seen in the Clone Wars television series. It was a fun custom that we just couldn't pass up on. Lately this customizer has been popping out new Star Wars custom action figures with great fervor. I-AM-BOBA-FETT even began producing quality resin head casts of Cantina aliens and skiff guards from Jabba's palace using molds of his his own unique sculpts. We definitely recommend checking this artist out whether it is to commission his services or to buy one of his resin casts. We used one on our Melas custom action figure and we couldn't be happier.
