A CUSTOM BY THE KID

Here's one that I made. Dad has me practicing on my painting technique. I tried to paint some tattoos on her arms and back and added soft goods to a Greeata action figure. She was bald in our fodder bin so I just asked Dad to make her a mohawk for me using his Apoxie Sculpt.

Lots to Be Thankful For

This Thanksgiving I was thankful for the modifications made to my bedroom. Dad installed a few eye hooks into the ceiling and used fishing line to hang several of my Star Wars spaceships in flight mode. It really helped out by clearing up some shelf space as well as some floor space in my room before Christmas rolls around and I get to fill things up some more. space with new toys. I love the way my room looks now. The best part is Dad designed everything so each spaceship can be taken down in seconds for play.

Jedi Master Jah Kheer

This action figure was created using the body of a Comic Pack Ki Adi Mundi, the robe of an Obi Wan Kenobi, and the head of a Clone Wars Quinlan Vos that was heavily modified with Apoxie Sculpt.

Jedi Master Jah Kheer was a close friend of Count Dooku and was one of the Jedi that turned to the dark side during the Clone Wars. A skilled swordsman, he became a real danger to the Republic after his defection from the Jedi Order.

Dad used Apoxie Sculpt to create the beard on the face of this action figure.

Dad also used Apoxie Sculpt to extend the length of the dreadlocks on the head of the Quinlan Vos action figure.

Mirialan Bounty Hunter

The majority of this Mirialan Bounty Hunter figure is made from the torso, arms, and legs of a CW Padme in Adventure Gear. The head is from the VOTC Barriss Offee, the helmet is from an Utapaun Warrior action figure, and the face mask is from a G.I. Joe Doctor action figure. All that was needed was a dab of glue on the inside of the head from a glue gun to give the head a tight fit on the neck post and a custom paint job to finish her up. We just use her mostly as a background figure to fill the dioramas we have set up throughout my room. Hope you enjoy!

REBEL ALLIANCE GENERAL by DARTH DADDY

Dad was able to create this Star Wars custom action figure very quickly with the help of Slayer Design Studios. Dad used the VOTC Lando Calrissian body and one of the head casts that he bought from them to create this Rebel Alliance General. All Dad had to do was paint the head and we had one cool action figure to spruce up the collection. I'd love to use this guy in a photo novel or web comic.

TALES FROM THE CLONE WARS by KUALAN

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Kualan from the UK, or his Star Wars web-comic Tales from the Clone Wars, but his work is one incredible piece of graphic fiction. Kualan recently paid me the honor of including my custom Trandoshan Jedi as a character in his latest installment and I couldn't be more excited. The web comic features some really cool fan fiction characters as well as established characters to create one cool narrative with plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seats. The graphic art is just amazing and I'd love to know how he does it. Check it out, I'm sure you'll be hooked too!

Joe Crowley, Kualan, lives in the UK, where he studies Creative Writing. He has been a fan of Star Wars since he was just a kid watching his father's old VHS tapes of the original trilogy, and spent most of his childhood running around the school playground pretending to be Luke Skywalker or Han Solo. In 2010 he decided he wanted to make his own tribute to the Star Wars universe and set out to make a web-comic after being partly inspired by the likes of hangarbay94's X-Wing Alliance series and several other action figure customizing photo-novels.

Excerpt's from his latest installment:

"The Clone Wars have ravaged the galaxy, and show no signs of halting any time soon. As the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order fight tirelessly against the droid hordes of the Separatists, entire star systems are torn asunder; leaving in their destructive wake ample opportunities for the lesser factions to pillage and plunder what they can.

Whether it be the Hutts and their criminal empires flourishing in a wartime black market, the Mandalorians reviving their crusades against the Jedi from era long past, or even the enigmatic Nightsisters of Dathomir emerging from the shadows to seize power, everyone in the galaxy has a stake in the conflict; and everyone has a side whose victory they would benefit from the most.

These are the Tales of the Clone Wars; from the heroic Anakin Skywalker, to the merciless General Grievous, and to those who you've never heard of before, follow the exploits of the war's heroes and villains in their constant battle for galactic supremacy."
