CLONE WARS: SEASON 5 FINALE - BARRISS OFFEE CUSTOM ACTION FIGURE created by Darth Daddy

This was just a quick head modifiction with some sculpted hair.  Dad used Green Stuff to make it because of it's flexibility and it's unlikeliness to break off.  A little paint and she's done.  Dad used the Cad Bane elbows from his first release to give the Barriss Offee figure ball jointed articulated knees so she can do more Jedi stances.  We finished her off with a set of Assaj Ventress lightsabers. He wants to make the Assaj Ventress bounty hunter helmet and cloak at some point, but he hasn't started working on anything yet.

Hasbro may have given the Clone Wars line the cold shoulder, but Yakface forum members have expressed a different sentiment altogether.  This new customizing challenge allows for both animated and realistic style figures – join in the fun and show off your skills (or lack thereof) after the jump!

Mirialan Bounty Hunter

The majority of this Mirialan Bounty Hunter figure is made from the torso, arms, and legs of a CW Padme in Adventure Gear. The head is from the VOTC Barriss Offee, the helmet is from an Utapaun Warrior action figure, and the face mask is from a G.I. Joe Doctor action figure. All that was needed was a dab of glue on the inside of the head from a glue gun to give the head a tight fit on the neck post and a custom paint job to finish her up. We just use her mostly as a background figure to fill the dioramas we have set up throughout my room. Hope you enjoy!

QUICK ALTERATIONS

As you know Dad likes to introduce our audience to quick and easy modifications that they can make to their existing action figures to spruce things up a bit. These two action figures are no different.

ULTIMATE BARRISS OFFEE

We really loved Hasbro's new VOTC Barriss Offee action figure, but she didn't have a very battle ready appearance. But by accessorizing her by combining parts from the Star Wars Saga 2002 Collection 2: Attack of the Clones #12 Barriss Offee [Jedi Padawan] and a few accessories from the new CW Barriss Offee, we were able to create the Ultimate Barriss Offee with an interchangeable head sculpt, a short cloak to go with the existing hood, and a battle action cloak too. Dad is planning on adding an interchangeable right hand so I can keep using the magnet hand from the Star Wars Saga 2002 Collection 2: Attack of the Clones #12 Barriss Offee also.

She looks a lot more battle ready now.

Dad loved the head sculpt of the original Barriss and wanted to come up with a way to show off the hair of the action figure in his Ultimate edition.

With an Exacto knife Dad cut of the head of the AOTC Barriss and then used a drill and Dremel to give the head the ability to snap securely onto the neck post of the VOTC figure and have full articulation.

With all these accessories a lot of variations could be produced to enhance play.

SORA BULQ
with Articulated Knees

Dad boiled the original Saga 2 Sora Bulq action figure to remove his unarticulated legs and replaced them with the CW Eeth Koth legs instead. By boiling the two action figures in hot water for about 5 minutes, the plastic was soft enough to swap out the legs of the figure. Dad read that JACKOFTRADZE used the same technique with the legs of a Kit Fisto from the Target Geonosis 2-pack. Dad didn't have one in our fodder so Eeth Koth had to step in to make it happen. Dad at some point would like to replace the hard goods skirt with a soft good skirt when he finds a suitable replacement.

IT'S THE B'S KNEES!!

B as in Barriss that is, or Bane if you consider the source of this modification. One night while talking to Luke Sprywalker on Skype, Dad mentioned that he wanted to create a more articulated Clone Wars Barriss Offee action figure and Sprywalker mentioned that Cad Bane's elbow joints would be perfect for her knees. The advice was so cool that we thought we'd share it. It takes only an Exacto knife and the small drill bit set for your Dremel. Just cut out the knees of your action figure, use the 1/16" drill bit from your drill set to go the desired depth into her thighs and calves then reassemble the limbs using the elbow joints on the Cad Bane. We still have to use some Apoxie Sculpt to smooth out the rough edges and paint her, but we thought a lot of our readers may want to tackle this one so we thought we'd show you this WIP action figure.

Work In Progress Picture
If you use the elbow joints of the 1st Cad Bane action figure, you can use the joints to create articulated knees in the CW Barriss Offee action figure.
