Peakob1 Added to "Customs I Wish I Owned"

Peakob1
Chad Peak (aka: Peakob1 or CAP) is a 35 year old artist in Denver Colorado and has been a Star Wars fan all his life. He makes customs for the love of the hobby and you won't find a more dedicated fan. He hopes one day that he can have an entire custom collection simply because it is personalized to him. He never seeks financial gain by doing his customs, although he has done a few commissions at reasonable prices. He started customizing in '95. He doesn't count some of the vintage Ewoks that he colored over with black and brown markers as a kid.

He refers to his style of customizing as "hard sculpting" opposed to using sculpy to mold his own figures. He uses bits of existing parts and dremmels those down to make a new result
He believes that it makes for a much stronger figure because he's a little like Jar Jar, "hesa clumsy" and often drops figures. Usually they don't break if he builds them properly.
He finds customizing very exciting and he has many projects on the horizon. Hope you enjoy his customs!

He displays his customs on Yakface, Droids and Ewoks and Jedi Defender.

LOOK FOR THESE CUSTOMIZED ACTION FIGURES BY DAD
(DARTH DADDY) IN THE VIDEO:

Rebekkah

Android Assassin

Calamari & Twi'lek Bounty Hunters

UBESE TRACKER

Dad's latest custom was inspired by an Ubese action figure created by Yak_Chewie. Dad says he really likes the way his custom action figure came out, but he likes the Ubese action figure that was made by Yak_Chewie much better. Yak_Chewie's paint application is just so well done. Instead of copying Yak_Chewie's action figure, Dad decided to make a faster and less detailed version of the figure that I think still captures what it is that makes this action figure cool.

Dad made this custom from a G.I. Joe Snake Eyes (Paris Pursuit) action figure, a head of an unknown G.I. Joe action figure, and the helmet/mask of the new Princess Leia in Boush disguise that you can find all over retail stores now.

It was an extremely quick custom to make and way too much fun to to not take the effort to have it in our collection.

INSPIRED BY:

This Ubese custom action figure created by Yak_Chewie was the inspiration for Dad's latest creation. Dad loved the way Yak_Chewie combined the long hooded jacket with the Ubese helmet. Dad knew as soon as he saw it that he wanted to make one too. You can see more from Yak_Chewie in our "Customs I Wish I Owned" page.

RED TACTICAL DROID

Dad's made this red Tactical Droid over this summer, but we weren't able to post it because it was packed away with my Separatist droid army. We set up my droid army today so we thought it was the perfect time to do the post.
