I-AM-BOBA-FETT added to "Customs I Wish I Owned"
Like most children of the 70's I-AM-BOBA-FETT was blown away by Star Wars when he saw it in the theater in 1977. Even as a very young boy he knew this movie was special and was more than just a summer Saturday night's entertainment. Star Wars has continued to be a part of I-AM-BOBA-FETT's life all the way through to the present. He began customizing figures at the age of five. I-AM-BOBA-FETT began sculpting in 1999 as a way to alleviate boredom and stress. He has continued to make custom figures, vehicles, and full scale life size props (including his own complete suit of hand forged Mandalorian armor, jetpack, and helmet made of stainless steel) for over 25 years now for fun and profit.
I-AM BOBA-FETT takes commission work. For those looking to have an awesome custom item made give him a shout. He offers fair prices and quick build times for his custom creations. He can be reached at: riffvalleydesignworks@yahoo.com.

"BITH YOUNGLING" created by Elias
Dad has been slowly working on his custom Clone Wars General Pong Krell and at this juncture nowhere close to being finished, which for me is an opportunity to pick up some slack. To do so I decided to jump in on an old project Dad started a ways back, Jedi younglings. I decided to add to the pack with one of my own. We had a few Bith heads we bought from SithHappens as well as a small village of the Vintage Phantom Menace Anakin Skywalker figures sitting on our shelves that made it an easy decision when it came time to figure out what to get working on. Nothing easier than painting up a head and throwing it on a body so you still have some day left to play. Not every custom needs to take hours to look cool.

Sillof's Workshop: Faster, Empire! Strike! Strike!
So the other day we had an email exchange with Star Wars customizer, Jaime Follis aka Sillof in regards to a project that Dad is working on with customizers Sith_fire30 and Luke Sprywalker. We also talked about the recent showcase of custom action figure art we had on display at Star Wars Spectacular in New Jersey where we had his Star Wars WWII - 1st Lt. Chuck Backer action figure on hand.
We really appreciated the email we recieved from him and it gave Customs for the Kid an opportunity to let Sillof know how cool we thought his new project Faster, Empire! Strike! Strike! came out. The project was commissioned by none other than Patton Oswalt known for his numerous television appearances, film roles, and his hilarious stand up. Patton Oswalt just wrote in his blog about Sillof's latest venture and it is a project worth noting. The project, which is Star Wars custom action figures based on exploitation film maker Russ Meyer's film "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" has been getting some serious press being featured on Entertainment Weekly, MTV, The Onion, and the Huffington Post. Sillof said that Oswalt gave him a few ideas but really left most of it up to his imagination. The only catch... because most of Meyers films, 99.9% to be exact, feature busty females protagonists, Patton wanted Sillof to gender flip every character making the characters he would usually make men into woman and vice versa. Oswalt also had a specific vision involving a mini bar and a GTO. But enough talk, why don't you head to Sillof.com and see them in all their glory. This has to be our favorite project of his so far. The female Han Solo is just phenomenal!
