3.75" "BODHI ROOK" created by Customs for the Kid

This action figure wasn't that difficult to cobble together. It will take you three different action figures for you to create your own version. The entire body is made from the Imperial Scanning Crew action figure. The belt was scaled back and sculpted over with ProCreate to give the jumpsuit continuity in form. The only parts of the body that are not from the Imperial Scanning Crew are the lower legs that come from an Indiana Jones Mutt Williams action figure.  The head and accessories are from the "Rogue One" Collection Bodhi Rook action figure. Once the assembly and sculpt were completed, Dad painted the body and accessories and I painted the head to complete the figure.

A big thanks to Star Wars customizer DarthTaterTots for the action figure recipe!

Bodhi Rook was a human male from Jedha who served as a cargo pilot for the Galactic Empire prior to the Galactic Civil War. After defecting to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, he fought alongside a group of rebels during the Battle of Scarif. Thanks in part to Bodhi's efforts and sacrifice, Jyn was able to use the Imperial security complex's satellite to transmit the Death Star plans offworld. Despite Grand Moff Tarkin's efforts to destroy the Scarif base, the rebels managed to transmit the plans to the rebel flagship Profundity. Princess Leia Organa then fled with the plans aboard the rebel corvette Tantive IV, setting the stage for the events leading up to the Battle of Yavin.[4]

3.75" SUPER-ARTICULATED "JYN ERSO - EADU" by Customs for the Kid

This was an extremely easy custom action figure to produce. We got the idea from Star Wars customizer, wedgeswingman, in a post he did in the Rebelscum forums. Fabrication takes two action figures of Jyn Erso to create. First you need either the 3.75" Black Series version of her or the newer Vintage Jyn Erso #119 that is available on store pegs right now.  The second figure that you need is the 5poa Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Jyn Erso for her head, poncho and accessories. First boil and pop the arms off the 5poa version of her so you can slip the poncho off the figure. If you remove the vest from the super-articulated figure that you chose from, you can possibly slip the poncho onto the figure if you can do so before the rubber cools. We made a slice with an X-acto knife along the right edge of her poncho where it wouldn't show when we glued it back in place after we slipped and stretched it over the super-articulated frame. We maintained pressure as the glue dried until it held firm. After, the poncho was in place we sculpted the baggier 3/4 sleeves of the poncho onto the forearms of the figure with ProCreate. Elias then gave the head a new repaint to finish her off, after Darth Daddy finished painting the body.

UPDATED: "1:18 scale U-Wing Build-It-Yourself-Kit" by thewriteguy

Not too long ago we featured the 1:18 scale U-Wing build-it-yourself-kit by thewriteguy, Howard Wen. He updated his online album with over 200 photos of the vehicle playset fully painted. Many of these pictures feature action figures of the entire Rogue One crew.

Also, this ship now has push-button sound FX. He put together YouTube photo videos showing people how to take the sound board from Revell’s U-Wing model to use in their own 1:18 scale U-Wing.

He is finally, absolutely finished with his project!

This 1:18 scale U-Wing (from ROGUE ONE and the fourth season of STAR WARS: REBELS) is made from cardboard and paperboard. It’s designed for the 3.75” action figures. The building plans I designed are free for all Star Wars fans who want to make one of their own.

"K-2SO with Improved Articulation" created by Darth Daddy

This was a quick Rogue One project we did to add some articulation to Hasbro's K-2SO action figure. The 6" version of the figure had the super-articulation that we all wanted in the 3.75" scale.  Too add the articulation we used the knee and elbow joints from a Terminator action figure we purchased on eBay. We added two metal rods to the knee joints for stability by creating a post that we inserted into a hole we drilled up into the upper leg of the original figure. We did some sanding to the joints of the Terminator figure to keep the rounded edges that the original K-2SO action figure had.  By the time the project was finished we had the version we wanted adding both knee and elbow articulation to increase the figure's range of motion. We skipped adding articulation at the ankles and wrists due to the thin plastic. It was really nice to be able to increase the pose-ability of this 5 poa figure!

ROGUE ONE "JYN ERSO - IMPERIAL FLIGHT CREW HELMET MODIFICATION" by Customs for the Kid

Not sure about all of you, but we had to grab a second Jyn Erso action figure from when she was disguised as an Imperial Flight crew member just so we could make this custom version of Jyn.  Only a slight helmet modification was needed to show Jyn's face through the helmet like she appeared in the film.  Grab your sharpest razor blade and with some parent supervision, slice away the thin bit of rubber to show Jyn's eyes when she wears the helmet.

We grabbed some "Death Star Walls" from a kit that Star Wars customizer, Thank The Maker, recently offered for sale on his eBay page. It's a cheap way to dress up your shelf displays.  They are perfect for photo shoots! I have a feeling we'll be using them in many photo shoots to come.  We were able to paint and assemble the kit in only a day. It can be a great craft project to entertain kids on a rainy day too!  We love these walls for their versatility. You can build them out however you like!
