"ITHORIAN SMUGGLER" created by Customs for the Kid

Dad made this custom action figure last week after I handed him an old Bossk and a POTF Momaw Nadon.  It was really cool seeing him bring my design to life.  I really like how he made the right arm poseable by giving it a spinning joint at the forearm like the Bossk figure had.

created by Elias and Darth Daddy

His back pack was made from a Darth Vader chest plate and the blaster of a Djas Puhr.

Dad's ability to bring my Ithorian Smuggler design to life landed him a place on Yakface.com's "Customizer Mega Spotlight!"

Yakface Secret Santa Action Figure: ZOMBIE JEDI

Dad made this action figure for Yakface's Secret Santa. Dad just checked, and our action figure reached its new owner Mungo Baobab today. Mungo Baobab is known for making one of a kind custom Jedi action figures. Dad wanted to make him a Jedi that he hasn't made yet which was tough because he keeps making so many.

Dad has recently been hooked on AMC's TV show The Walking Dead and I think it was a big influence on him when he made this action figure.

How would the Jedi react to one of their own being turned into the walking dead?

Jedi Master Morta was still strong with the Force.

After being severely bitten on her jaw by a Wookiee zombie. Jedi Master Morta cut off what was left of her own mouth with her lightsaber before she turned into the walking dead. Without her mouth, there would be no way for her to bite another and spread the infection. This action also stopped her bleeding as she reached with great desperation to become one with the Force before she lost too much blood. There wasn't time enough...

It's the first custom action figure that ever left the house.

This Christmas project was a lot of fun and definitely kicked off the Christmas spirit at home. We can't wait to do it again next year.

Would a zombie Jedi still be capable of using the Force? Would it still bother using a lightsaber? We'd love to hear your thoughts on this in our comments section.

With her face half chewed off this action figure was a bit too adult for the collection of a seven year old.

This custom action figure took many hours and more coats of paint than we can even count to get the look of decomposing flesh.

CLONE WARS JEDI GENERAL

Dad made this Jedi General out of a dremeled Clone Wars Plo Koon to thin out the neck, and then used the head of a Force Unleashed Juno Eclipse with the braid taken from a Padme Amidala in Evening Dress. All the rest was created with unidentified hands and the magic of paint.

Peakob1 Added to "Customs I Wish I Owned"

Peakob1
Chad Peak (aka: Peakob1 or CAP) is a 35 year old artist in Denver Colorado and has been a Star Wars fan all his life. He makes customs for the love of the hobby and you won't find a more dedicated fan. He hopes one day that he can have an entire custom collection simply because it is personalized to him. He never seeks financial gain by doing his customs, although he has done a few commissions at reasonable prices. He started customizing in '95. He doesn't count some of the vintage Ewoks that he colored over with black and brown markers as a kid.

He refers to his style of customizing as "hard sculpting" opposed to using sculpy to mold his own figures. He uses bits of existing parts and dremmels those down to make a new result
He believes that it makes for a much stronger figure because he's a little like Jar Jar, "hesa clumsy" and often drops figures. Usually they don't break if he builds them properly.
He finds customizing very exciting and he has many projects on the horizon. Hope you enjoy his customs!

He displays his customs on Yakface, Droids and Ewoks and Jedi Defender.

UBESE TRACKER

Dad's latest custom was inspired by an Ubese action figure created by Yak_Chewie. Dad says he really likes the way his custom action figure came out, but he likes the Ubese action figure that was made by Yak_Chewie much better. Yak_Chewie's paint application is just so well done. Instead of copying Yak_Chewie's action figure, Dad decided to make a faster and less detailed version of the figure that I think still captures what it is that makes this action figure cool.

Dad made this custom from a G.I. Joe Snake Eyes (Paris Pursuit) action figure, a head of an unknown G.I. Joe action figure, and the helmet/mask of the new Princess Leia in Boush disguise that you can find all over retail stores now.

It was an extremely quick custom to make and way too much fun to to not take the effort to have it in our collection.

INSPIRED BY:

This Ubese custom action figure created by Yak_Chewie was the inspiration for Dad's latest creation. Dad loved the way Yak_Chewie combined the long hooded jacket with the Ubese helmet. Dad knew as soon as he saw it that he wanted to make one too. You can see more from Yak_Chewie in our "Customs I Wish I Owned" page.

RED TACTICAL DROID

Dad's made this red Tactical Droid over this summer, but we weren't able to post it because it was packed away with my Separatist droid army. We set up my droid army today so we thought it was the perfect time to do the post.

JUNO ECLIPSE: REBEL JACKET

I designed this custom action figure a few months ago. Just before we started our blog. I wanted a Juno Eclipse to use when I played with my Rebel Alliance action figures, but as you all know, Hasbro only released her as an Imperial Officer. I knew Juno was the captian of the Rebel ship Salvation, but I wanted Dad to make her in a more action oriented outfit....an outfit Juno would have worn if she got off her Nebulon-B cruiser and had some adventures when she was off the Salvation. Using my directions, Dad painted an extra Juno Eclipse that he had from the Toys R' Us Force Unleashed Battle Pack and he made it just the way I asked him.

He even painted the Rebel sign on the back of Juno's jacket that I had requested. I figured if Juno was a Rebel now, she would definitely be wearing the family crest of her true love.

Tholoth in Evening Dress

With Dad busy putting more work into the "Customs I Wish I Owned" page, he hasn't had the time to work on any of his customs.

So instead of Dad posting one of his customs, I figured I'd post my latest custom.

She's a Tholothian in an evening dress. I made her from a Stass Allie action figure and a Padme Amidalla in the Evening Dress. The fur covering is from a vintage Emperor Palpatine. All I had to do was paint the torso and arms with some help from Dad to keep me in the lines.

We use her as a diorama filler in our Cloud City Casino. She is an old flame of Lando Calrissian.

My Tholoth was just featured on the front page of Imperial Shipyards.

Richard Mingoia a.k.a darknsour

This 46 year old father from New Rochelle, NY has been customizing for a few years. He belongs to other customizing site's like Yakface, rebelscum, ffurg, and banthaskull.

He too does customs with his son who is 10. His son tells him what he likes and what he thinks is cool and he tries to make it for him!

He's old enough to say that he saw a New Hope in the movies when it 1st hit in 1977 when he was just shy of his 13th birthday!!

He loves to customize Clones and Mando's the most but also loves doing Jedi also.

He loves making customs out of leftover parts!! As you can see from his post's.
