COOL YOUTUBE TUTORIALS

A simple, easy and cheap project that you can throw together with materials you can find around the house. This one is a great for parents trying to entertain their little ones when they are cooped up in the house and driving you a bit crazy.

This project is much more advanced and is for a more seasoned "maker" who has an elaborate set-up with some of the latest technology available at their fingertips.

JASON HARROP Added to "CUSTOMS I WISH I OWNED"

While it is true that we solely collect 3.75" figures, we found the work of Jason Harrop aka Harrop Customs noteworthy enough that we wanted to feature his work nonetheless.  One of our biggest reasons for featuring him is for what he has been giving back to the community.  I was first exposed to his work over at the Star Wars Two Suns 6" Customs Facebook group that he created and put together with friends, Cubescity Customs. The page was created to help out action figure enthusiasts who are interested in customizing by bringing many talented individuals together to inspire and collaborate on their creative action figure ideas.  The group was a really cool place for me to see what Star Wars custom action figure artists are doing in another scale.  From resin cast character kits to informative tutorials that will help you fine tune your skills, Jason has made some awesome contributions to the page and to his portfolio. We highly recommend 6" collectors take notice of this artist so you don't miss out!

EASTER BASKET TREATS

Just wanted to share some cool video treats that we saw on YouTube that we really enjoyed.  The first video is pretty old, but it has always been one of our favorites.  The Kessel Run Review was a great show.  If only Jesus brought the Kessel Run Review back from the dead with him.  Their commercials were hilarious and to be able to watch them back-to-back, all in a row, is pure joy.

The second video is an awesome cardback creation tutorial from DS Customs for all you customizers who want to put your favorite custom on a card!

Have a great holiday everyone!

StarWarsGeek Custom Supply Shop

This weekend at Star Wars Spectacular, we got a visit from customizer Dave Castle aka StarWarsGeek who brought us some awesome samples of some casted heads that he sells at the StarWarsGeek Custom Supply Shop webstore! What you will find here for sale are custom cast parts and supplies for creating your own custom action figures. All parts are cast at his home studio. He will NEVER sell any parts that he feels are unusable. All parts are cast in opaque colors and may ship to you in any of the following colors: black, flesh, brown, white, blue, red, yellow, gray. (He can not take requests for specific colors at this time.)

You may remember the tutorials he made on molding and casting that we posted a ways back.  They are super informative.  Also be sure to check out his Youtube page and blog.
